We like to keep in touch with those who have been adopted and their new families. It's so fun to see them getting dressed up, exploring new horizons, and living life to the fullest! Below are some highlights of our dogs in their new chapter in life. Please feel free to look through our other subcategories, to see our dogs with their new families as they left our shelter.

Christmas Cheer!

Picture
Loki, Harley and Bella (formerly known as Stanley, Ariel, and Rose) made their way to our shelter on March 23, 2016. They were abandoned with their mother and 3 other siblings on the side of a road in a box under the summer sun with no food or water. Thankfully, they grew up to be healthy and cared for by our LAPS family and were adopted July 3, 2016. Here they donned their Christmas costumes at Petco on San Bernardo to take their holiday photo with Santa and meet our mascot!

Criminal Charges?

Picture
Dolly was adopted March 18, 2016. It seems she's gotten into a little trouble, but don't worry! Her owner Adrian will keep her in check!

Adventure Time!

Pippa was adopted on November 17, 2016. Within her first month alone, she visited lots of new places. She made her way through North Carolina, visited Georgia for Thanksgiving, and had a ton of fun romping around in the snow in Utah. She is quite the traveler and is loving every minute of it!

Trained and Ready to Help!

Picture
Vizer was adopted by Miss Vela and has truly flourished in his time with the family. Below are a few statements:

"We LOVE Vizer and were so happy we have him in our lives. He is AMAZING with the baby. Without him, he wouldn't be crawling. My son just follows him around and wants to be with him all the time and Vizer just lets him tug on him and Vizer even plays with him by taking off around a corner then surprising him and coming back and licking him and they just are so perfect together already best friends"

"He's been prescribed to me by my doctor and is officially my emotional support animal... he has been so amazing
He cuddles me when I'm having a hard time and our baby loves him so much. We're so grateful for him

I want people to know that even though y'all may not have every resource you want and that you guys are working hard to provide love and homes for these amazing pets

I mean I can't even describe the joy he has brought our family! ... the difference after Vizer is amazing... he's just amazing and perfect for us and he's been learning so much! Learning new tricks and he's so great!"

Pilas, the Golden Boy!

Pilas was found abandoned in the LAPS parking lot. He was fostered and eventually found his perfect forever home with Ana and Luis Pulido. He loves dressing up for holidays and is famous for his outfits. He even participated in the Petco Howl-oween Costume Contest and won in the "Best Family Costume" Division with his handler, Sarah!

Princess Zelda!

Zelda (formerly known as Gorda) was a stray rescued from the streets of Rio Bravo. She was adopted on August 29, 2016. She is loving living like royalty!
